I recently demonstrated a Mala Wide Range to a municipality here in Upstate New York. They were very impressed with the general concept of what Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) could do for them in their plastic and clay sewer lines. However, Upstate NY is a mixed bag as far as soil conditions, and this area was no different. So having the ability to switch between low (for deeper utilities) and high (for shallow, smaller utilities), truly allowed me demonstrate the value of such a machine. While many GPR units operate on single mid-range frequencies, the wide range of 80-950MHZ of the Mala Wide Range really shined in this challenging environment.
